| SERENA'S STORY.......... 2/19/10 Serena was brought into the SPCA in early January 2010, flea ridden, dirty and underweight. She is mostly Lhasa Apso and will have longer hair once it grows with time. When she was dropped off at the shelter, her hair was extremely matted and tangled. Due to her hair's length and the tangles in her hair was SHE WAS NOT ABLE TO WALK! Her own hair was restricted her ability to ambulate and her hair had to be shaved off. She had been living in a cage and unable to walk........... On 2/7/10, I went to Pet Smart to purchase some dog food for my pug Violet. Our local shelter was having an adoption day at the store. I took one look at this little face and knew I had to adopt her and bring her to my house for her forever home with Violet and me. How could I leave her behind? I couldn't !!! She is learning to trust me and is turning into the little PRINCESS that she should have been the first three years of her life! I named her Serena as I hope her remaining days are serene and peaceful in her new home with Violet and me. PLEASE! Consider adopting a dog or puppy from your local shelter!
